Guarantee Card Shows Zero Fulfilled Promises: Jairam Thakur
1 min readMandi: Leader of the Opposition, Jairam Thakur, took a strong stance against the Congress-led state government, claiming that after reviewing the guarantee card and promises made during election campaigns, the Chief Minister should recognize that not a single guarantee has been fully met. Thakur remarked that while it’s easy for leaders to reassure themselves with empty words, the people of Himachal are observant and aware of the unfulfilled promises that were shouted from public platforms across the state. He pointed to promises like the “Mahila Samman Nidhi” and various other guarantees that were assured by Congress leaders as fully prepared plans before the elections, only to remain unfulfilled today.
Highlighting transparency and accountability as pillars of democracy, Thakur expressed disappointment over Congress’s inability to deliver on its assurances. He added that while other Congress-led states are open about their limitations, Himachal’s government continues to mislead by claiming success on all fronts. He called for sincerity from the government, emphasizing that empty claims of fulfilling guarantees have only led to broken trust among citizens.
In his Saraj constituency, Thakur attended the closing ceremony of the Saraj Deepotsav, where he extended best wishes to the organizing committee and shared memories associated with the event. He emphasized that fairs like these strengthen community bonds and preserve cultural heritage, expressing hopes for prosperity for all the people of Himachal.
