Grand Celebration of International Shivratri Fair Mandi

Despite the dark shadow of coronavirus, the International Shivratri fair will be celebrated in Mandi with all pomp and grandeur in the month of March 2021.
In a meeting held in Vipasha Sadan the Shivratri Fair organizing committee today decided that the international fair will be celebrated with all cultural activities. All registered deities and Goddesses shall be invited. Committee also decided that all covid protocol and necessary SOPs shall be followed during the cultural event.
The chairman of Shivratri Mela Committee, Deputy Commissioner Mandi, Rugved Thakur confirmed that the international Shivratri fair is going to be held on March 11, 2021 in Mandi district headquarter.
The golden period of 50 years of statehood will be the theme of this fair and it will be necessary to add the ‘golden’ word with all activities in this fair.
All 216 registered deities of various areas of the Mandi district will be invited for the international fair like the previous years. All three historic Jaleb will take place on 12, 15 and 18 March and 6 cultural night it will be held from 12 to 18 March. He added that all subcommittee has been constituted for different activities of Golden international Shivratri fair.
Commissioner Rugved Thakur appealed to the general public for their valuable contribution to organizing the international fair in a meaningful manner. He said ” We are going to organize festival after a long battle with covid-19 and the fear of said virus is yet in existence. Proper support from the public is necessary to follow covid protocol and standard operating procedure for the celebration of this Shivratri fair.”
