Gram Sabha to Hold 30-Minute Health & Anti-Drug Awareness Drive

Shimla Mar 22 : Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap announced that all Gram Sabhas will conduct a 30-minute awareness drive on health initiatives and substance abuse prevention. The initiative was discussed in a District Tuberculosis Eradication Committee meeting, where officials reviewed progress on TB-free panchayats, 100-day TB campaign, and World TB Day 2025.

135 panchayats have been declared TB-free, with 98,938 people screened and 210 new TB cases detected. World TB Day will be celebrated on March 24 at Gaiety Theatre, featuring competitions for school students.

Recovered TB patients, designated as TB Champions, are actively raising awareness.
