Govt to Provide ₹3 Lakh Aid for Housing to Single & Widow Women: Kanwar

Palampur, February 23: Himachal Pradesh Labour Welfare Board Chairman Nardev Kanwar announced that the government will provide ₹3 lakh financial assistance for housing construction to single and widow women. Addressing a labour awareness camp in Dhera, Kanwar emphasized the government’s commitment to workers’ welfare under CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s leadership.
He highlighted various schemes benefiting construction workers, including marriage assistance, scholarships, medical aid, maternity benefits, pension, and financial help for differently-abled children. Beneficiaries also received induction stoves at the event. Officials urged workers to register with the Labour Welfare Board to avail of these benefits.
