Solan, April 11: MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is continuously working to simplify the lives of people through development initiatives, while laying foundation stones of projects worth over ₹2 crore in Arki assembly constituency.
Addressing a public gathering in Gram Panchayat Kotlu, Awasthi inaugurated key infrastructure projects including the Sera–Kanoh ambulance road (₹40 lakh), Sera to Kayartu–Nevadi link road (₹1.18 crore), and Samana Pajja to Kaladwar ambulance road (₹45 lakh).
He highlighted that under the leadership of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the government is prioritizing doorstep governance through initiatives like *Sarkar Aapke Dwar* and revenue Lok Adalats, ensuring time-bound resolution of long-pending public issues.
Awasthi said these efforts are enabling people to access services such as health check-ups, disability certificates, and other essential facilities closer to their homes. He also mentioned welfare measures for farmers, including increased MSP for milk, and schemes supporting students and youth, such as low-interest education loans and startup initiatives.
Reaffirming his commitment to make Arki an ideal constituency, he noted that ₹25 crore has been received under mining funds in the first year itself, boosting local development. Over ₹1.57 crore has been allocated for various works in Gram Panchayat Kotlu in the last three years.
During the event, he also announced financial assistance for local development, including ₹2 lakh for a Mahila Mandal Bhawan, ₹1 lakh for a cremation ground, ₹1 lakh for a playground, and assured funds for road connectivity and drinking water facilities.
Under the Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme, Awasthi listened to public grievances and directed officials for their prompt redressal. Cultural performances by children added vibrancy to the event.
