Governor visits Shimla Art Fest

Shimla, April 24 –  “There is a message behind every art which needs to perceive and create awareness”, said Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.

Present as a Chief Guest at “Shimla Art Festival” organised on the Ridge Shimla by the Department of Language, Art and Culture, Himachal Pradesh, Governor said that due to Covid for the last two years, the Fest could not be organized. He said that this was a fine opportunity for the painters of the country and the artists of the state, through which a proper platform has been provided to them for which the department deserves appreciation.

Padmashri Shyam Sharma apprised the Governor about his artwork.  More than 200 artists participated in this festival held from 22nd to 24th April.  This time 25 artists were invited to this festival.  It was open for all and canvas and colors were provided to them by the department. This festival is being organized since the year 2017.
