Governor inaugurates cultural evening of Minjar Fair

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla formally inaugurated the first cultural evening of the International Minjar Fair-2025 by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the historic Chaugan in Chamba district on Sunday evening.

Lady Governor Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion.

During the event, Shiv Pratap Shukla paid floral tributes to the martyrs of Chamba district.

Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the Fair Organizing Committee, Mukesh Repaswal, honoured the Governor by presenting him with a traditional shawl, Chamba cap and the internationally acclaimed metal craft artifact, the ‘Chamba Thal’.

A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed in the presence of the Governor between the District Administration and ICRT India Foundation to provide free counselling services and training under the Responsible Tourism initiative in the district.
