Governor Honours 18 with ‘Himachal Ke Prahari Samman’ for Fighting Drug Abuse

Shimla, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presided over the ‘Himachal Ke Prahari’ Samman Samaroh today at Raj Bhavan, where 18 individuals were recognized for their role in reporting cases related to drug abuse under the NDPS Act. He praised these awardees for their dedication in combating drug trafficking and highlighted the social and health threats posed by drugs. Governor Shukla emphasized the need for stringent law enforcement, social norms, education, and rehabilitation to protect Himachal Pradesh’s society from drug abuse. During his tenure, he has been committed to anti-drug campaigns, expressing concern over rising drug abuse, especially among females at the village level.
