Governor flags off rotaractors on a cycle tour of India
1 min readGovernor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar today flagged off two rotaractors on a cycle tour of India from Raj Bhavan.
Dhanush Manjunath and Hemanth Gowda Y.B., rotaractor cyclists have so far covered 15 states on a cycle of about nine thousand kilometres and would travel to 11 more states. They have set a target of travelling a total of 25 thousand kilometres. This journey which started from Bangalore will end in Bangalore itself. They are travelling with the message of environment protection, literacy and women empowerment to spread the message in the society more effectively.
On the occasion, the Governor while conveying his best wishes appreciated the spirit and aim of both the cyclists. He said that in the present scenario every youth should encourage cycling so that people can be made aware about the environment and health.
Arlekar said that we all need to work to achieve the goal of One Cycle in every household.
