Governor emphasizes on maximum use of Hindi language
1 min readGovernor Shiv Pratap Shukla while presiding over the function of Hindi Pakhwara organized by Punjab Central University, Bathinda said that Hindi language was the identity of Indian cultural and social heritage. The language besides being a medium of expression plays a pivotal role in expressing our thoughts and is inseparable part of our values and culture binding us socially, he said.
He virtually attended the programme from Raj Bhavan Shimla. He said that it was mainly the Hindi language along with other local dialects that awakened the people and inculcated the spirit of patriotism amongst them during the freedom struggle and later the nation declared Hindi as the official language of the Bharat. He said that our priority should be to promote Hindi and take it forward by connecting it with modern science, technology and education.
The Governor said that Hindi could play an important role in connecting the future generation with the rich cultural and traditional values of India. He added that there was a need to focus more on promoting Hindi in educational institutions. He also stressed to encourage the Devanagari script, as Devanagari is the basis of other dialects.
Earlier, Prof. Raghvendra Prasad Tiwari, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Central University, Bathinda, welcomed the Governor and detailed about Hindi Pakhwada.
