Governor and CM felicitate people on Makar Sankranti

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have felicitated the people of the state on Makar Sankranti.
In his felicitation message, the Governor said that this joyous festival marks the end of winter and the beginning of a new harvest season.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while congratulating the people on Makar Sankranti said that this festival has both religious and seasonal significance. It is considered to be one of the most auspicious day of the year. This period is believed to be the ‘Uttaarayan’ or an auspicious time.
He hope festival would bring happiness and prosperity to the people of the State.
