Instead of correcting its failure, the government is showing shamelessness
Shimla: While talking to the media, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that Sukhu government is selling mothers and sisters’ bangles and Mangalsutras by giving the slogan of system change. If the government itself wants system change, then I want to tell the Chief Minister that the state does not need such system change. People in the state are forced to wander from door to door for treatment by buying insurance of treatment up to Rs 05 lakh under Him Care. Due to the failure of this government, a son is getting his mother treated by mortgaging her bangles, while some person is forced to mortgage his grandmother’s Mangalsutra. After that, when this issue is brought to the notice of the government, instead of taking action on it, the government laughs it off. Shows shamelessness. Lies. The false government cannot even assure inside the assembly that people will get treatment as per rules under Him Care. The legislative party of Bharatiya Janata Party walked out of the house when the government did not give assurance.
Jairam Thakur said that the government cannot have a more shameless face than this. The government itself neither takes cognizance of such incidents nor takes any action when the opposition and media take cognizance of it. This government came to power by usurping the mandate in the name of false guarantees and wants to run on the basis of false propaganda, false advertisements, false assurances. The government should listen carefully that we will not let the people of the state be troubled in this manner. We will not let people’s lives be played with. We will not let arbitrary things be done with the state to please the friends circle. We will not let the interests of the state be played with.
Jairam Thakur said that the Chief Minister is not able to understand that nothing can be more important than the lives of the people. But the shamelessness is that the government is playing with the lives of people. People across the state are wandering for treatment due to non-payment of Him Care. The date of operation scheduled 1 year ago is being postponed. People are either postponing the smallest and the biggest operations or are compelled to take loans to save their lives.
Due to the failure of the government, the father of a girl died last year because the IGMC administration did not give him the injection even after the doctor prescribed it. The girl raised her voice for justice. Instead of taking action against the responsible people, these same government officials started proving the girl guilty. After their failure, the officials do such low level acts, while the government instead of taking action against such people, protects them.
