Government Endeavors to Provide Better Healthcare Services at Doorsteps – Health Minister

Shimla, November 19 – Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Colonel) Dhaniram Shandil inaugurated the newly constructed Primary Health Center building in New Shimla Sector-4 today. On this occasion, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh were also present as special guests.
The Health Minister mentioned that the state government is continuously striving to make better healthcare facilities available to the people in the state. The establishment of this center aims to provide better health services directly to the local people at their doorsteps. The construction of the building, costing approximately 55 lakh rupees, includes provisions for OPD on the entry floor, a dispensary and dressing room on the first floor, a labor room and nursing room on the ground floor, and a storage room in the basement.
Upcoming Recruitment and Expansion Plans:
Dr. Shandil addressed the need for additional nursing staff in the Primary Health Center and informed about the state government’s plan to recruit 700 nursing officers soon, which would significantly fulfill this demand. He emphasized the importance of improving the staff and facilities at the health center.

Dr. Shandil assured that the government is dedicated to addressing the demands and concerns raised by the community. He acknowledged other requests and promised to consider and fulfill them as much as possible.

On this occasion, Aniruddh Singh, the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, expressed that providing better healthcare facilities to people at the local level is a priority for the government. He highlighted that this new center is part of the government’s commitment to reducing crowds in larger hospitals, and the construction of a super specialty hospital is also in line with this vision.
