Golden Rudraksha Award organised at Shoolini

Seven faculty members and non-teaching staff members of Shoolini University were awarded The Golden Rudraksha Award 2022 at a function on Friday.

The annual awards have been instituted to recognise the dedicated faculty and staff members who do their work with utmost sincerity and commitment. The award winners are selected through an independent process which includes a combination of student votes, eUniv analytics, and executive votes.

 

Prof. Sourabh Kulshrestha, Dean of Research and Development, received the award for Best Leadership. He was followed by runners-up Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Dean Student Welfare, and Prof. Kuldeep Chand Rojhe, Dean of Management Sciences. The other seven finalists were Mr. Ajay Khanna, Prof. Anuradha Sourirajan, Prof. Kesari Singh, Brig. SD Mehta, Dr. Pankaj Vaidya, Prof. Rohit Goyal and Prof. Deepak Kapoor.

Dr. Pankaj Kumar Chauhan, Associate Professor at the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology, received the Golden Rudraksha award for best faculty. Dr. Chander Mohan, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Professor, were the runners-up. The other seven finalists were Dr. Amar Rao, Dr. Namita Gandotra, Dr. Somesh Sharma, Dr. Nitika Thakur, Dr. Prachi Kapil, Dr. Hemant Sharma and Dr. Azhar Khan.

Prof. YS Negi, Mr. MD Sharma, Dr. Kamal Kant Vasisth, Mr. Het Ram, and Mr. Manish received honorary degrees for their contributions to the university.

Dr. Amar Raj Singh Suri won the Shoolini Teaching Companion award, with Prof. Rohit Goyal coming in second. Mr. Ankur Bashar and Dr. Shalu Sehgal were the runners-up. This award was given for explaining the most difficult topic in the simplest and most student-friendly way possible.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar received the eUniv Star Performer 2022 Award. The eUniv star performers were chosen after an in-depth quality check of the previous academic session’s consolidated eUniv analytics report as well as the faculty’s video lectures. He was followed by Dr. Avinash Kumar, Mr. Sushil Kumar, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, and Ms. Ruhi Thakur.

Ms. Anshul won the award for Best Staff in Non-Teaching Category. The other top seven finalists were Ms. Alice, Ms. Kaushalya Devi, Mr. ND Sharma and Mrs. Neelam Thakur, Mr. Balbir Singh Sharma, Mr. Prem Bhatti, Mr. Ishwar Das, Mr. Samuel David and Mr. Satish Kumar.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Chancellor Prof. PK Khosla, President Mrs. Saroj Khosla, and Pro-Chancellor Mr. Vishal Anand, who felicitated and congratulated the winners. Ms. Avnee Khosla and Dr. Ashoo Khosla were also present at the function. Chancellor Prof PK Khosla spoke on the occasion, saying that these awards encourage employees to work with dedication and determination throughout the year.

Mrs. Saroj Khosla (Chair), Dr. Ashoo Khosla, Prof. YS Negi, and Mr. MD Sharma served on the judging panel that chose the winners. Dr. Kamal Kant Vasisth and Mrs. Ashoo Khosla oversaw organising the award ceremony.
