Geeta Kapur, CMD SJVN, Inaugurates Successful Blood Donation Camp

Geeta Kapur, the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN, inaugurated a significant Blood Donation Camp organized by SJVN in collaboration with IGMC Blood Bank, Shimla, at the Corporate Headquarters in Shimla. The event witnessed the presence of Sh. C.S. Yadav, Executive Director (HR), and other senior officers from SJVN.
Expressing SJVN’s steadfast commitment to community service, Geeta Kapur stated that the annual Blood Donation Camp stands as a testament to the organization’s dedication. Emphasizing the importance of such initiatives, she highlighted that the donated blood would serve the critical needs of patients in various hospitals in Shimla and its surrounding areas.
Geeta Kapur underscored SJVN’s ongoing efforts in contributing to societal well-being through various welfare measures. She commended SJVNites for their proactive involvement in charitable activities, noting their overwhelming participation in this noble cause. A total of 187 units of blood were donated during the event by SJVN employees, their family members, Satluj Shri Ladies Club in Shimla, and contractual workers. Geeta Kapur disclosed that, during the current financial year, 703 units have been donated through camps organized across SJVN’s offices and projects.
In recognition of the participants’ valuable contribution, mementos and certificates were presented by senior officials of SJVN.
The blood donation camp, conducted successfully by Dr. Savvy Dhorta and the team from the Blood Bank at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, with assistance from SJVN volunteers, showcased the collective commitment to saving lives. The event exemplified SJVN’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and its active role in fostering a culture of altruism and community engagement.
