Geeta Kapur, CMD of SJVN, Inaugurates 20th Vendor Development Meet for MSMEs

SJVN organized the 20th edition of its Vendor Development Meet for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at Hotel Shivalik View, Chandigarh. The program was inaugurated by Smt. Geeta Kapur, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, who ceremonially lit the lamp to mark the beginning of the event.
In her inaugural speech, Smt. Geeta Kapur emphasized the importance of such meets in fostering a dynamic environment for knowledge sharing and best practices. She highlighted that these initiatives help in identifying the evolving needs of buyer organizations while showcasing the capabilities of MSMEs. This, in turn, enhances awareness about SJVN’s e-Procurement process and strengthens partnerships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders crucial for the company’s success and growth.
The event witnessed the presence of key officials including Sh. Manoj Kumar, Head of Project (NJHPS), Sh. Sanjeev Gupta, HOD (Civil Design), Sh. Rajiv Kumar, Head of Project (SDHEP), Sh. Vikas Marwah, Head of Project (RHPS), Sh. Jaswant Kapoor, Head of Chenab Projects, Sh. Sunil Choudhary, Head of Project (LHEP Stage-I), alongside other senior officials from SJVN and government organizations.
Various organizations delivered detailed presentations during the vendor development program, followed by interactive Q&A and brainstorming sessions focused on raising awareness about SJVN’s e-Procurement process. The positive feedback received post-event indicates its significant contribution to enhancing knowledge and empowering MSMEs.
