Funding and Networking Meet organized to empower women entrepreneurs

Dharamshala, March 6: Himachal Pradesh Industries Department and District Industries Centre, Kangra organised a funding and networking meet and a one-day EAP in Kangra district with the aim of encouraging women entrepreneurs.
This one day financing and networking meet and entrepreneurship awareness programme was organised by District Industries Centre, Kangra in association with Nitcon Limited at DRDA Auditorium, Dharamshala, in which about 65 women entrepreneurs of the district participated.
The program, organized as part of an initiative by the Department of Industries, was chaired by O.P. Jaryal, General Manager, District Industries Center. He stated that the primary objective of the program was to connect women entrepreneurs with financial assistance, various government schemes, marketing opportunities, and networking platforms, and to provide them with the necessary guidance for entrepreneurship.
O.P. Jaryal said that this program has been organized under the ‘Social Inclusion’ component of the Ramp Project, whose main objective is to strengthen the financial access of women entrepreneurs, effectively link them with government schemes and ensure sustainable livelihoods and market linkages.
Women entrepreneurs actively participated in the program. Participants displayed enthusiasm, engagement, and a keen interest in learning and understanding various aspects of entrepreneurship.
In the meeting, the participants were provided detailed, practical and useful information regarding banking facilities, loan approval process, various government grants and incentive schemes, insurance schemes, enterprise registration and digital and online registration processes.
Rahul, Agriculture Segment Head from the District Lead Bank Manager’s Office, Sahil, Agriculture Officer, and Komal, Marketing Officer from Punjab National Bank, were present. Representatives from various departments and organizations were present at the event.
Additionally, Madan Lal from the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute, Kangra, Shubham, Mission Executive from the National Rural Livelihoods Mission of the Rural Development Department, Sandeep Bharmauri from the Urban Development Department, and successful women entrepreneur Seema Devi also shared their experiences. Industries Department project staff Raghav Singh Rana, Deepak Bakshi, and Shubham were also present at the event.
Apart from this, from the Industry Department, EO Nagarota Manoj Kapta, EO Dehra Nitin Kumar, EO Kandrodi Kushal Dhiman, EO Fatehpur Jayendra Singh, IPO Parveen Sharma, EO Lambagaon Dhyan Singh and Sphurti Project Head Sandeep Sharma were also present in the program.
