Solan, July 24:
Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Director of Sustainability and Community Engagement at Shoolini University, has been conferred the prestigious C-Positive Award by the Rising India Foundation and the Texas School of Mental Health.
A three-time cancer survivor, Nanda was recognised for her extraordinary strength, resilience, and impactful work in promoting early detection, mental well-being, and cancer awareness. The C-Positive Awards aim to transform the societal perception of cancer—redefining “C” to stand for Compassion, Comfort, Care, Courage, and Confidence.
Nanda’s journey, both personal and professional, has inspired countless individuals, especially women who often hesitate to seek timely medical help. Her advocacy work has sparked crucial conversations around support systems for patients and survivors.
The award ceremony brought together a diverse group of survivors, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and social changemakers. Among them, Nanda’s story emerged as a beacon of hope and determination, symbolising the power of positivity in adversity.
