Former Minister Sudhir Sharma Criticizes CM Sukhdev’s Administration

2 min read

On Monday, former minister Sudhir Sharma once again released a video attacking CM Sukhdev. He stated that the Chief Minister is delivering big lectures on honesty while accusing rebel legislators of cross-voting and succumbing to temptation. Sudhir mentioned that the Chief Minister’s history is very weak, so he wants to remind him that during the presidential election when VV Giri was a candidate, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had stepped out of the party line to vote for him. Now, the Chief Minister repeatedly claims that these people have been sold out.

Sudhir said that the most corruption in the industrial sector has occurred in the last fifteen months. The biggest business there is mining and scrap. Calls were made from the Secretariat to the factory owners, threatening that if scrap was not given to a certain person, your factory would not be allowed to run.

There were CPSs within the government who created an environment there, causing industries to start fleeing. The scrap business is worth crores of rupees; it is an unorganized trade. But involving one’s people in it, setting arbitrary rates, and forcing them to leave the state, what kind of governance is this? Blind mining is taking place at the proposed medical device park site in Nalagarh. Heavy machinery has been deployed to flatten the land. The industry minister had to repeatedly go there to negotiate, but the situation did not change. We will present all these facts to the public. We should not do any work that tarnishes the name of Devbhoomi Himachal nationwide. Nor should we create an atmosphere within the state that causes industries to flee and deprives youth of employment.
