Focus on State Development Instead of Complaining About Center: Suresh Kashyap
1 min readShimla, 27 January 2025: Former BJP State President and MP Suresh Kashyap criticized the Congress government for its complaints about the Center, urging them to focus on Himachal Pradesh’s development. He highlighted that the central government has always prioritized Himachal in every Union Budget.
Referring to the previous year’s budget, Kashyap stated that the state received ₹23,413 crores in grants from the Center. He questioned the Congress government about its utilization of these funds. He emphasized key projects initiated by the Center, including AIIMS Bilaspur, IIIT Una, Central University in Dehra, and Hydro Engineering College in Bilaspur.
He also highlighted significant infrastructure investments, such as ₹4,000 crore allocated to NH projects and ropeways, with several projects nearing completion or under construction, worth ₹1 lakh crore by the year’s end. Kashyap mentioned facilities like the Dialysis Centers in Una, Hamirpur, and Bilaspur, a Satellite PGI in Una, and the Mother and Child Hospitals in multiple districts.
He criticized the Congress government for stalling progress on projects like Renuka Dam and NH-707 Green Corridor. Kashyap reiterated that development projects, including the ₹5,000 crore Medical Device Park in Nalagarh, must not be ignored.
