Flower festival attracts crowds at Shoolini Univ

Shoolini University hosted a three-day flower fest which was visited by hundreds of flower lovers from and outside the campus.
The festival, organised by Dean Student’s Welfare and Department of landscaping and creativity, included more than 80 varieties of flowering and ornamental plants in pots and bags propagated within the campus.
Director, landscaping, and creativity Mr. Suresh said that the response towards the purchasing of flowers was very good. The fest also had stalls of handicrafts and various in-house departmental models to showcase their projects. The plants were also for sale for the commuters along with juices and pickles made by the food tech department of the Shoolini University.
The variety of flowers includes geranium, different roses, azealia, pitunia, dainthus, daheliya , daisy and strawberries along with different varieties of trees.
Other than this various organisations including schools from Solan and Kasauli became a witness to the flower fest and share n Care members and Shantiniketan students also came to have a glimpse.
Many contests were also put on board like poetry contests, photography, and flower arranging competition by the office of Dean Students Welfare. St Lukes, Solan won the first prize for displaying a message of peace with white flowers
