Flash Flood Claims Three Lives of a Mandi Family, Daughter Survives

Mandi, July 29: A tragic flash flood struck Jail Road in Mandi early Tuesday morning, claiming the lives of three members of a family—Balbir Singh, his wife Sapna, and their son Amanpreet Singh. Balbir, an auto driver, was trying to secure his vehicle from rising waters when the flood swept the family away. Their daughter, sent to fetch a rope, survived but collapsed from trauma and has been hospitalized. One other relative is injured and under treatment. Former CM Jai Ram Thakur has spoken with the grieving family.
