Five-Day Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme Begins in Shimla

A five-day Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme was inaugurated in Shimla on Tuesday at The Mirage Hotel, Bhattakufar. The programme is being organised by Mera Yuva Bharat Shimla and is being attended by 37 youths from different districts of Haryana.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Anil Kumar Harta, Assistant Director, Culture, Department of Language, Art and Culture, Himachal Pradesh, who attended as the chief guest. Simple Saklani, District Public Relations Officer, Shimla, was present as the special guest, while Dr Ashima Dogra also addressed the participants.
The guests encouraged the youth to stay away from drug abuse and remain connected with folk culture and traditions. Deputy Director, Mera Yuva Bharat Shimla, Vipin Kumar, welcomed the guests and honoured them with traditional shawls, caps, and mementoes. He also briefed the participants about the programme outline.
Addressing the gathering, Vipin Kumar said the objective of the programme is to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge, develop mutual understanding among youth from different regions, and provide a platform for sharing experiences and skills through planned activities and dialogue. The programme also aims to familiarise visiting youths with the culture, traditions, and heritage of Shimla while fostering meaningful connections with local residents.
