Shimla, Oct 22 – The five-day HC Rai Centenary ArtFest wrapped up in grand style, with Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena presiding over the award ceremony and admiring the impressive artwork showcased in various halls of the Gaiety Complex. During his address, Amala Rai expressed her gratitude to Sh. Rakesh Kanwar, Secretary LAC, Dr. Pankaj Lalit, Director, LAC, senior visiting artist Dr. Ranjan Malik, HOD of Chitkara University, and all those involved with the art festival, acknowledging their unwavering support that contributed to the event’s resounding success.

Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena commended the organizers and personally bestowed awards on the deserving winners. He marveled at the remarkable quality of the paintings, particularly those created more than five decades ago, which reflected the artistic brilliance of Sh. HC Rai. These works of art transcended their time and serve as an inspiration to contemporary young artists, highlighting the boundless potential of creative expression.

The celebration reached its crescendo in the evening with a theatrical performance of the play “Jaam e Shahadat,” featuring talented performers Narendra Sachar and Sanjeev Mehta.

The HC Rai Centenary ArtFest concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impression with its captivating artworks and thought-provoking theatrical performance.
