As soon as the driver noticed smoke coming from the engine, he quickly stopped the bus and instructed all passengers to exit the vehicle. A total of 8 people, including 6 passengers, the driver, and the conductor, were on board at the time. Upon seeing flames, local villagers rushed to the scene and used water from a nearby hand pump to prevent the fire from spreading further. Fire brigade teams arrived promptly and controlled the flames.

All passengers were safely evacuated without harm. The conductor, Sandeep Singh, stated that thanks to the driver’s quick thinking and the local residents’ assistance, the situation was contained before it could escalate. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown, but it is believed to have been due to a technical malfunction in the engine.
