Fine Arts College Ready, Inauguration Soon: Vikramaditya Singh

The construction of the Fine Arts College is complete and will soon be inaugurated, said Vikramaditya Singh, Minister of Rural Development, in Shimla today. Additionally, he highlighted the upcoming projects for the Nankhar and Sanj stations, estimating an expenditure of approximately 20 crores.

Vikramaditya Singh chaired the ‘Government at the Doorstep’ program in the Paahal area of the Shimla Rural Assembly constituency. During the event, he listened to the issues faced by the people of the region and provided necessary directions to the concerned officials for their resolution.

The Minister emphasized that the program, initiated by the government, is an ambitious effort to address people’s problems at their doorsteps. The main issues discussed during the program were related to electricity and water supply, and steps would be taken soon to resolve them.

Regarding the Nankhar and Sanj stations, Singh stated that the construction work of all electricity department stations in these areas would commence soon, with an estimated cost of around 20 crores. He emphasized that addressing the electricity problems in the region is a top priority.

Singh also mentioned that steps would be taken to address the water supply issues in the region. He provided updates on various road projects in the area, including the completion of the Devi Dhar to Nayasir road, with an expenditure of about 14 crores.

The Minister announced a budget of around 25 lakhs for completing the pending works of various women’s organizations’ buildings in the region. He also inaugurated the foundation stone of a community building in the Bag area of the Panchayat Paahal, with an estimated cost of around 25 lakhs.

During the ‘Government at the Doorstep’ program, various departments showcased their achievements through exhibitions. The Health Department offered free health check-ups, while the Revenue Department facilitated the issuance of 11 different online certificates for the people. Additionally, an information and awareness session was conducted by the Information and Public Relations Department, showcasing the achievements of the state government in the past year.

The Minister, along with cultural artists from the Information and Public Relations Department, entertained the audience with songs and music, making the ‘Government at the Doorstep’ program a successful and engaging event.
