FDP organised on AI and ML in collaboration with IIT Guwahati at Shoolini Univ

Shoolini University, as a Hub of the Electronics and ICT Academy under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, and the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G), organised a one-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” which concluded on Saturday.
Faculty members and researchers from various institutions participated in this high-impact training programme.
The sessions were conducted by technical experts from the ICT Academy, IIT-G, offering participants deep insights into AI and ML applications. On the first day, Industry expert and educator Mr. Ashish introduced fundamental AI and ML concepts and their technological advancements, while Industry expert and educator Mr. Ashwani provided hands-on training on EDGE IMPULSE for real-world AI applications.
The second day focused on Python basics, built-in Python libraries, and practical training on matplotlib, numPy, and pandas, led by Mr. Ashwani.
The final session, led by Mr. Ashwani, introduced participants to the Hugging Face model and its applications in chatbot development.
The programme was supported by iHUB Shoolini in collaboration with iHUB DivyaSampark, Technology Innovation Hub, DST, and IIT Roorkee under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS), reinforcing its focus on cutting-edge AI research and applications.
Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Kumar, Coordinator of Shoolini University Hub, highlighted the crucial role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in enhancing education quality. He stressed the need for technology-driven teaching methodologies and faculty development initiatives to ensure effective technological integration in academics.
Prof. P.K. Khosla, Chancellor Shoolini University, and Prof. Ashish Khosla, President (Innovation), congratulated the organisers for successfully conducting the FDP and providing faculty members with valuable exposure to AI-driven advancements.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Deepak Kumar, who expressed sincere gratitude to the resource persons, the Electronics and ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati, and all supporting institutions for their unwavering support in making the programme a resounding success.
