Faculty Applied Sciences and Biotechnology lifts Manchatantra Trophy 2025

Manchatantra 2025, the much-awaited inter-departmental annual competition of Shoolini University, transformed the campus into a vibrant stage of creativity, performance, and celebration.
Students from different faculties and departments came together to showcase their talent and enthusiasm in a series of energetic competitions, making the event one of the most memorable campus festivals of the year.
The festival featured a wide range of competitions, including flash mob, singing, dancing, drama, and a unique segment, Situational Mashup. Each faculty represented a different era, from the 1960s to the 1990s and beyond. With colorful costumes, expressive performances, and storytelling, students brought the spirit of each decade alive, blending nostalgia with modern creativity.
Highlighting the importance of the event, Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Director Sustainability and Community Engagement, said, “Manchatantra is a reminder of why we create and express ourselves. It’s not only about who wins, but about what we learn and how we grow. Every performance this year showed heart, confidence, and the unique spirit of Shoolini.”
The competition results reflected the extraordinary talent and enthusiastic participation from every faculty. All the events were judged by Pooja Verma, a dedicated Dance Teacher associated with various government schools in Shimla. Vanshu Arora is an accomplished fitness professional and influencer, Mr. Himachal 2016 (2nd Runner-up) and Mr. Harsh Sandhu Master of Music and performer.
In the Flash Mob category, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences emerged as the winner, while the Faculty of Basic Sciences and Agriculture and Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology were joint runner-ups. The Anchoring competition was also won by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, followed by the Faculty of Management Sciences as runner-up.
In Western Duet Singing, the Faculty of Biotechnology impressed the judges and secured the first position, with the Faculty of Basic Sciences and Agriculture as runner-up. The Duet Dance (Semi-Classical) category saw the Faculty of Management Sciences lifting the trophy, while the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Faculty of Biotechnology shared the runner-up position.
The Situational Mashup, one of the most unique and creative events of the festival, was won by the Faculty of Basic Sciences, while the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences was the runner-up. The School of Engineering dominated the dance and fashion segments, winning the Bollywood Dance, Group Folk Dance, and Fashion Show events. The runner-up positions in these categories were secured by the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Basic Sciences and Agriculture, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
In terms of Faculty Participation, the Faculty of Biotechnology bagged the top position, with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences following closely as runner-up. Finally, in a moment of celebration and pride, the Faculty of Biotechnology was declared the Overall Champion of Manchatantra 2025, while the Faculty of Basic Sciences and Agriculture stood as runner-up.
