A complaint was filed online this morning by Tekinder Singh, who belonged to the affected area and resides in Shimla.
The complaint, lodged with Parwanoo police station in Solan district, blamed the NHAI for massive loss to the natural ecosystem, human lives, assets, and financial loss to the people owing to their inability to carry their agricultural produce to the market during ongoing rain fury.
He accused both the NHAI and the executing company (4-Lane) are responsible for construction of four lanes from Parwance to Solan, saying that it was their responsibility to ensure minimum damage to the hills while constructing this project.
The former Deputy Mayor said that they have either not consulted the geological department while preparing the project report, moreover, the project report on which the four-lane passage was completely erroneous.
Both the NHAI and the executing company G R Infraprojects Limited are liable to be tried on criminal neglect, he noted.
Alleging criminal neglect in the road project, Panwar demanded a probe in connivance between the two.
Notably, during recent rain fury, as the four lanes were submerged under water vehicular traffic remained suspended for four days.
