Ensure Board Exams Are Conducted with Full Transparency: DC Kangra

Effective Measures in Place for Smooth Examination Process

Dharamshala, March 2: Ahead of the commencement of board examinations in Kangra district from tomorrow, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has directed all concerned officials and examination centres to ensure that exams are conducted in a transparent, fair, and peaceful manner.

The DC stated that all examination centres must strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education and the State Education Department. Adequate arrangements have been made, including CCTV surveillance, internet connectivity, secure custody of question papers, and effective measures to prevent the use of unfair means.

He informed that a nodal officer appointed by the Education Department has been authorized to handle any examination-related issues or emergencies. Complaints or reports of irregularities can be immediately communicated through the nodal officer to the appropriate authority.

Additionally, flying squads have been constituted at the sub-divisional level under the supervision of respective Sub-Divisional Officers to conduct surprise inspections and ensure fair and systematic conduct of examinations.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence, irregularities, or the use of unfair means. The district administration, along with the Education Department, will maintain constant vigilance to uphold a peaceful and transparent examination environment across the district.

Extending his best wishes to students, the DC encouraged them to appear in the exams with confidence and a positive mindset. He also urged parents and teachers to provide moral support, avoid unnecessary pressure, and create a calm and supportive environment for students.

He appealed to students to rely on honesty and hard work while appearing for examinations and assured that the district administration remains committed to their success.
