Enhancing Education: 762 Schools in Himachal Pradesh to Receive Information Technology Facilities

Dharamshala, November 19 – R.S. Bali, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Vice-Chairman of the Tourism Development Board, announced the provision of necessary hardware and software in 762 schools across the state to improve the use of information and communication technology and enhance educational quality. The declaration was made during the annual prize distribution ceremony at the Government Senior Secondary School in Airla, where Bali participated as the chief guest.

Bali outlined the plan to establish library rooms in each senior secondary school and provide tablets to ten thousand meritorious students. He emphasized the state government’s commitment to strengthening the foundational structure of current educational institutions to deliver quality education to students. Bali encouraged students to enjoy student life while also working hard to achieve set goals in life.

During the ceremony, Bali also announced a financial allocation of INR 5 lakh for the construction of toilets and tiling of sports fields in the school. Additionally, a sports field, including an open gym, with an estimated cost of INR 15 lakh, will be developed in Airla.

The Chairman pledged two smart classrooms and five computers for the school. As part of recognizing cultural talents, Bali announced a reward of INR 50,000 for students presenting cultural programs during the event.

Notable figures present at the ceremony included Manas Singh Chaudhary, Block Congress President, Pratap Riyad, Block Congress Senior Vice-President, and local government officials and education officers.
