Education Minister Rohit Thakur inaugurated a Bailey Bridge on the Nihari-Garawag link road, constructed at a cost of ₹95 lakh, and inspected the ₹3.92 crore under-construction Kudi-Mohli road during his two-day visit to Jubbal Kotkhai. Highlighting the importance of road connectivity in hilly regions, he emphasized its role in boosting the apple-based economy and tourism potential.

Thakur stated that under the current government, 100 roads have been approved in Jubbal Kotkhai, with plans for a dozen more by the financial year’s end. He criticized the previous BJP government for neglecting road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and lauded his government for securing ₹190 crore for road development, making the region a leader in road density statewide.

During his visit, Thakur also inaugurated a ₹38 lakh sports complex and held a review meeting at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Engineering College, Pragatinagar. He assured faculty and staff that the government is committed to improving education quality and addressing infrastructural challenges.

Local representatives, senior Congress leaders, and department officials were present at these events.
