ED Raids Himachal Assistant Drug Controller and Associates in PMLA Case

Dharamshala, 22 June 2025 — The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted raids at multiple locations in Himachal Pradesh in connection with a money laundering investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The action targets Nishant Sareen, currently serving as Assistant Drug Controller (ADC) in Dharamshala, along with his father-in-law Ramesh Kumar Gupta and an alleged associate Komal Khanna, among others.

Sources revealed that the raids are part of an ongoing probe into suspected financial irregularities and assets disproportionate to known sources of income. The ED teams seized documents, digital evidence, and other incriminating material during the searches.

The case is reportedly linked to alleged corruption and misuse of official position in drug regulatory operations. Further investigation is underway.
