Dy. CM lays foundation stones for projects worth Rs. 25 crore in Nalagarh AC

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri stated that various development works in the Nalagarh Assembly constituency are being accelerated and the projects for which foundation stones were laid today will be completed within a stipulated time frame. Mukesh Agnihotri was addressing a gathering today at Malpur in the Kashmirpur Gram Panchayat of the Nalagarh Assembly constituency following the laying of foundation stones for 11 tube-well-based irrigation schemes to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 13.36 crore.
Before this, he laid the foundation stone for the office and residential complex of the Regional Transport Officer Baddi at Nalagarh. An expenditure of Rs. 11.24 crore will be incurred on the construction of this complex.
The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that access to clean water is a right for all and the state government is working to ensure the availability of clean water to every single citizen. He emphasized that water is vital for life and that only through water conservation we can ensure its availability for everyone.
Mukesh Agnihotri stated that 120 drinking water schemes are currently being implemented under the Nalagarh Jal Shakti Division. Clean drinking water is being provided to all 758 habitations under this division. Additionally, 170 irrigation schemes are being implemented under the Nalagarh Jal Shakti Division.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the Heritage Cafe at Heritage Park Nalagarh, following its renovation. This cafe has been constructed by the Nalagarh Heritage Society.
The tube-well-based irrigation schemes for which foundation stones were laid today will benefit 11 villages across 9 Gram Panchayats. Under this project, the villages of Gurdaspura, Malpur, Dugri, Sallewal, Mastanpura, Ratyod, Saudi Gujjaran, Nangal Dhakka, Nangal Kuhal-1, Nangal Kuhal-2, and Bhatoli will be the beneficiaries.
MLA, Nalagarh Hardeep Singh Bawa provided an overview of the development initiatives undertaken in the region and highlighted the prevailing issues. He stated that he is continuously striving to resolve the problems being faced by his assembly constituency.
Doon MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary, senior Congress leader Husan Chand Thakur; Youth Congress leader Nani Chaudhary, President Nalagarh Truck Operators Union Vidya Ratan Chaudhary, State President Kisan Morcha Ravi Sharma and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
