Dy. CM Agnihotri seeks 7.19 share right of HP on Chandigarh
3 min readUna , Feb 19 – HP Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said Sunday Chandigarh is not only owned by Punjab and Haryana, but also by Himachal Pradesh.
He said Himachal has a 7.19 percent share in the city, for which all possible efforts would be made to Himachal Pradesh as per the reorganization act.
While presiding over the 49th state-level annual convention of Himotkarsh Sahitya Sanskriti Evam Jan Kalyan Parishad at Lala Jagat Narayan Himotkarsh Government Girls College, Kotla Khurd here, he said a road map is being prepared in every area for the all-round development of the state so that every facility can be provided to the people here. He said this state established by Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar is progressing in every field. The development model established by the late Virbhadra Singh will be taken forward continuously.
Mukesh Agnihotri said the aim of the state government is only and only for the development and welfare of the people of the state. The first historic decision of the state government was to implement an old pension scheme for 1 lakh 36 thousand employees, due to which now all the employees will get the benefit of the old pension.
He said the Congress government of the state has promised 10 guarantees, which have already started and all these guarantees will be fulfilled in a phased manner in the next five years. He said the one who has no one has the Himachal government. The Himachal Pradesh government has adopted 6,000 orphan children of the state, whose all arrangements for living, eating and drinking will be made by the government.
He said diesel vehicles will not be purchased by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation. The first fleet of 19 electric vehicles has been inducted in the Transport Department. Charging stations will be set up at every place in the state, work is being done in this direction on priority basis.
He said an inquiry has been ordered in connection with the scam of registration of vehicles in the Transport Department so that fake registrations can be exposed and fine can be imposed on them.
He said Himotkarsh Parishad was doing many works of literary, cultural and selfless social service in the state, which is necessary for the overall development of the society. A degree college was established by the council for the education of girls, which has now been transferred to the state government. Women’s training institute, scholarship to poor meritorious students and assistance in school college fees, ration to widow women every month, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao awareness, financial assistance to helpless patients, ambulance service to provide vocational training to women by the organization.
On this occasion, he also released the souvenir published by the Council. Expressing his views, Director Punjab Kesari Media Group Abhijay Chopra said daughters are our pride. He said daughters should study, move ahead and earn their name in society so that they can stand on their own feet. Himotkarsh Sanstha is taking this work forward very well.
Jitendra Kanwar, President of Himotkarsh Literature, Culture and Public Welfare Council, presented the annual report and informed about the works being done by the council.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister also honoured people associated with different fields.
The Deputy Chief Minister honoured 20 meritorious students of district Una who were toppers in class X in the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board under the ‘Himotkarsh Meritorious Scholarship Project’ with medals and Rs 1,000 each in cash.
