Shimla, February 18: BJP Himachal Pradesh President Dr. Rajeev Bindal strongly criticized Indian Overseas Congress President Sam Pitroda over his alleged pro-China and anti-India remarks, launching a scathing attack on the Congress party.
Dr. Bindal also questioned the foreign funding in Indian elections and media reports linking Opposition Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi’s wife to organizations associated with George Soros. He accused the Opposition of supporting anti-national forces, which he described as a serious threat to the nation.
He highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is emerging as a global economic, strategic, and diplomatic powerhouse, while certain vested interests are conspiring to derail the country’s progress.
Criticizing Pitroda’s statement on India-China relations, Bindal said it undermines India’s diplomatic stance and sovereignty. He alleged that Congress has a history of secret agreements with China, and Pitroda’s comments expose these ties.
Bindal also targeted Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of glorifying China’s economic model and governance while ignoring its rising unemployment and censorship issues. He questioned whether the Congress leader’s remarks insult the sacrifice of 20 Indian soldiers martyred in Galwan.
Condemning the Himachal Pradesh government’s reported move to involve Sam Pitroda and former Union Minister Salman Khurshid in policy-making, Bindal warned that such decisions reflect Congress’s ideological bias and China-friendly stance.
