Dr. Prakash Badal Honoured with Vocational Award for Wildlife Photography

Renowned wildlife photographer from Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Prakash Badal, was honoured with the prestigious Vocational Award by Rotary Club Aastha Amritsar for his outstanding contribution to wildlife photography and conservation. The award was presented during the club’s annual charter celebration held on June 25 at Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar.
Dr. Badal was one of four awardees for 2025, alongside Dr. Surinder Kaur (Principal, Khalsa College, Amritsar), Sanam Sutirth Wazir (Jammu & Kashmir), and Advocate Lavanya Behl (Amritsar). The honour was conferred by DGN D Vijay Sahdev and DGN Anil Singhal.
A special citation highlighting Dr. Badal’s photographic achievements and dedication to wildlife conservation was read by Dr. Ruman Berry, drawing widespread applause.
Dr. Badal, who hails from Jubbal, Himachal Pradesh, is currently serving in the state’s Forest Department and has previously received recognition on national and international platforms. His wildlife photographs have gained acclaim both in India and abroad.
