District-Level Annual Sports and Selection Trials Scheduled in Chamba

Chamba, October 3 – The Office of Deputy Director, Elementary Education, Chamba has announced fresh dates for the annual sports and cultural competitions for the year 2025-26, which were earlier postponed due to bad weather.

To select players for participation at the state-level competitions, a one-day selection trial has been planned. As per the schedule, competitions for girls’ categories in Bhattiyat, Bharmour, Centre Zone-1, Centre Zone-2, Churah, Salooni, and Banikhet zones will be held on October 4, while boys’ categories will be conducted on October 5. The events will take place at respective Government Senior Secondary Schools including Garnota, Khani, Sarol, Kiyani, Tissa, Surgani, and Banikhet.

At the district level, athletics and sports competitions for girls will be held from October 7 to 9 at Government Middle School, Bhnauta, while boys’ competitions will be conducted from October 11 to 13 at Government Senior Secondary School, Kakira.

Similarly, district-level cultural, chess, and yoga competitions will also be organized as per the revised schedule. Competitions for girls will be held from October 16 to 17, while for boys they will take place from October 17 to 18 at Government Senior Secondary School, Chainad.
