District Election Officer Inspects EVM Warehouse in Shimla

Shimla, 5 July 2024: District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, conducted an inspection of the EVM warehouse in Fagu along with officials and representatives of political parties.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner stated that as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, the EVM warehouse is opened and checked every quarter to assess the condition inside. He confirmed that everything in the EVM warehouse was found to be in order.

Present at the inspection were Tehsildar (Elections) Rajendra Sharma, Ramesh Sharma from the Indian National Congress, Ayush from the Bharatiya Janata Party, and other election department employees.

It is noteworthy that the inspection of the EVM warehouse is conducted as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. The inspection includes checking the security arrangements such as police guards, duty registers, fire extinguishers, CCTV cameras, and electricity supply.
