Development Initiatives in Himachal Pradesh: Rohit Thakur

Shimla, November 11: Education Minister Rohit Thakur laid the foundation for the elevated development of the Huli Mahasu link road in the Balh assembly constituency, allocated a budget of approximately 13 crores. Addressing residents of Bakhol, Mahasu, and Premnagar panchayats at the Banakufar Forest Rest House, Thakur emphasized the government’s commitment to uniform development across the state.

Thakur praised Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur’s leadership for propelling the state forward. He highlighted that the district of Shimla now holds three ministerial positions and one Chief Parliamentary Secretary, indicating accelerated development in the region.

Regarding the Huli Mahasu road, he assured that the long-standing demand of the region would be fulfilled, enhancing accessibility for local residents. The minister disclosed that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, a budget of 2500 crores was approved, with 190 crores allocated for 12 roads in the Jubbal-Kotkhai area.

Thakur announced a comprehensive rejuvenation plan for all roads in the assembly constituency over the next four years, ensuring the robustness of primary roads in three panchayats. He stressed the region’s importance for tourism and pledged efforts for its development.

The Education Minister highlighted financial provisions for the construction of the Primary Health Center in Bakhol and approval for the completion of a government school building in Mahasu. He also assured funds for a community building in Banakufar.

Thakur lauded the present government’s efforts to increase the state’s income and its commitment to uplifting those affected by disasters. Despite a loss of around 12,000 crores due to significant calamities, the government’s swift coordination and relief measures, including a 4500 crore relief package, showcased its dedication.

He concluded by appreciating the cultural performances by school students and addressed the concerns of the residents, assuring timely resolutions. The event was attended by local dignitaries, including Motilal Derta, Director of Land Mortgage Bank Devendra Negi, BDSC member Vinod Mehta, Panchayat heads Manjeet Chauhan and Sheetal Chauhan, among others.
