A meeting of the Churdeshwar Temple Committee was held today under the chairmanship of Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap at Rozana Hall. The meeting discussed the upcoming Pran Pratishtha and Shant Mahayagna event scheduled for October 11, 2024, in detail.

Kashyap emphasized the need for coordination from now to ensure the successful completion of the event, which is expected to attract around 50,000 devotees from Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, and Uttarakhand. Arrangements for their accommodation and food were discussed, with a base camp to be set up in Kala Bagh for pilgrims traveling from Sarahan and Tarahan.

The temple construction will be completed with the installation of the Kurad on October 11, 2024, during the Pran Pratishtha and Shant Mahayagna. Various deities from Sirmaur, Solan, and Shimla districts will also be present at the event.

Deputy Commissioner Kashyap announced a complete ban on plastic materials, including water bottles, during the event. Instructions were given to ensure continuous water supply, with the existing 5 lakh liter water tank of the Jal Shakti Department to be repaired for adequate water arrangements.

The next meeting will be held in Chopal by the end of the month, involving the administrations of Solan and Sirmaur districts to finalize the detailed plan for the event.
