DC Orders Immediate Relief for Families Affected by Four-Lane Construction

Anupam Kashyap chaired a special meeting in Shimla regarding damage to roads and houses in the Chalauthi area caused by four-lane highway construction. Based on damage assessment reports, residents have been shifted to safer locations, with one house declared uninhabitable and others kept under observation.
The Deputy Commissioner directed representatives of National Highways Authority of India to complete compensation procedures within 15 days and ensure timely repairs of damaged houses. Temporary rental accommodation has been arranged for six affected families, and regular progress reports have been sought from concerned officials.
