DC Jatin Lal Reviews Landslide-Hit Village in Bangana, Provides Immediate Relief

Bangana, September 2 – Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal, on Tuesday visited Gioad village in Gram Panchayat Thara under Bangana subdivision to assess damages caused by heavy rainfall and landslides. He was accompanied by SDM Bangana Sonu Goyal, Naib Tehsildar Balwinder Singh, and officials from concerned departments.

The DC met the affected families, assuring them of full support from the district administration. As an immediate relief, three families were provided ₹10,000 each on the spot. Further assistance will be extended as per relief norms, he added.

Continuous rainfall has damaged three houses in Gioad village and triggered slope sliding in the area. As a precautionary measure, 12 other houses were evacuated.

The DC directed SDM Bangana to ensure safe shelter and proper relief arrangements for affected families and emphasized speedy restoration works on a priority basis.
