DC Hamirpur Stresses Planned Action for Drug-Free District<

Hamirpur, September 26 – Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh chaired four district-level committee meetings of the Social Justice & Empowerment Department, reviewing schemes and campaigns. He emphasized a systematic strategy under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 2.0, with participation from departments, Panchayati Raj institutions, and social organizations. Singh directed awareness drives in educational institutions and promotion of helplines and the Drug-Free app.
He also reviewed SC/ST Atrocities Act cases, urging no delay in investigation and prosecution. In the District Disability Committee meeting, Singh directed that all offices, institutions, hospitals, transport, and public places ensure facilities for persons with disabilities. Reviewing the PM’s 15-Point Programme for Minorities, he instructed departments to identify and benefit eligible individuals from minority communities under welfare schemes.
