DC Emphasizes Accountability of Panchayat Secretaries

Shimla, July 31: Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap conducted a special video conference with the Block Development Officers and Panchayat Secretaries of Chhohara and Kupvi blocks. Emphasizing the crucial role of panchayat secretaries in delivering welfare schemes to the public, he urged them to perform their duties with honesty and diligence.

He stated that panchayat secretaries should have complete knowledge of their respective panchayats with updated data records, especially during times of disaster. Any negligence will invite disciplinary action. He also directed secretaries to devise strategic plans for poverty alleviation and coordinate with various departments to ensure the implementation of schemes such as awareness camps by banks, health camps, TB-free India campaign, and anti-drug initiatives.

ADM Jyoti Rana, SDMs Dharmesh Ramotra (Rohru) and Aman Kumar Rana (Kupvi), District Revenue Officer Sanjeet Sharma, and other officials attended the meeting.

SDMs and BDOs to Collect Daily Feedback from Field Staff:
The DC instructed SDMs and BDOs to gather daily feedback from two field staff members to track progress, pending work, and completed tasks. Incorrect reporting will result in action against the concerned individuals.
