DC Distributes Battery-Operated Tricycles to Differently-Abled Persons

Una, February 22: Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal distributed battery-operated tricycles to 40 eligible differently-abled individuals at a program held at Prem Ashram, Una. These tricycles, worth approximately ₹23.20 lakh, were provided under the joint initiative of the District Red Cross Society Una, Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), and Power Finance Corporation Limited.

DC Jatin Lal stated that beneficiaries were selected through disability assessment camps conducted across all sub-divisions of the district. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to empowering differently-abled individuals and urged them to participate in future assessment camps for necessary assistive devices.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, stating that the tricycles would bring positive changes to their daily lives. The event was attended by NPP Chairperson Pushpa Devi, ALIMCO representatives, CPO Sanjay Sankhyan, and other dignitaries.
