DC Directs Completion of E-Family Survey in Shimla by January 31

Shimla, January 9, 2026:
Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap directed all SDMs and Block Development Officers to complete the pending E-Family Survey work in Shimla district within the stipulated timeline. Chairing a video conference review meeting, he said records of 60 percent families have already been updated, while the remaining 40 percent must be completed before January 19, ahead of the state deadline of January 31, 2026.

He warned that officials delaying the work would face departmental action. Under the E-Family and Him Parivar projects, each family is being issued a unique 12-digit ID, enabling seamless access to government schemes such as ration cards, pensions, PM-Kisan and housing benefits through a digital social registry.
