CMP Crossing Witnesses Awareness Drive; Blood Donation Camp and Competitions Planned
Shimla, January 7, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi inaugurated a Road Safety Campaign at CMP Crossing, distributing leaflets and urging adherence to traffic rules. A meeting chaired by the DC outlined activities including health camps in Shoghi, Theog, Saraswati Nagar, and Duttnagar from January 15-18, focusing on first responder training for accident victims.
Key highlights include:
– January 10: Bike rally.
– January 8, 17, 18: Eye check-up camps during vehicle passing.
– January 23: Blood donation camp at Ridge Maidan.
Competitions like essay writing, painting, and slogan writing will be held online under the theme of road safety, with cash prizes up to ₹5,000. The campaign concludes on January 31 with a grand event at Gaiety Theatre.
The campaign aims to instill responsibility among road users, emphasizing helmets, seat belts, speed limits, and traffic signals.
