Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama is set to participate in the consecration ceremony of Lord Ramlalla in Ayodhya. The program is scheduled for January 22, and as part of the itinerary, Dalai Lama will travel directly from Bodh Gaya in Bihar to Ayodhya.*
The invitation for this event has been extended by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). Dalai Lama, who had plans to return to McLeod Ganj from Bihar on January 14, altered his schedule. After participating in teaching programs in Sikkim and West Bengal, the spiritual leader headed to Bodh Gaya. He has been in Bodh Gaya for nearly a month, and now the Dalai Lama will proceed to Ayodhya from there. There is a possibility that he may return to McLeod Ganj by the end of this month.
McLeod Ganj, a prominent tourist town, attracts tourists and Buddhist followers from across the country and abroad who seek the presence of the Dalai Lama. Due to Dalai Lama’s absence from Himachal Pradesh, there has been a decline in the number of tourists. McLeod Ganj witnesses the arrival and departure of foreign delegates due to the Dalai Lama’s presence. Additionally, Tibetans in exile and Buddhist followers from various states come here to attend the teachings of the Dalai Lama.
