Dairy Farmers Trained in Kangra on Animal Care and Balanced Nutrition

Kangra, Feb 26: A dairy awareness and training camp was organised at the Milk Chilling Centre, Bindraban, under the Kangra unit of the Himachal Pradesh Milk Producers Cooperative Federation, Shimla. During the programme, livestock farmers were sensitised about modern dairy production techniques, animal health management, hygienic milk production, and the importance of balanced nutrition for dairy animals. Experts from the National Dairy Development Board, including Dr. Satyapal Kure and scientist Dr. Damini Arya, provided practical guidance on breed selection, disease prevention, and effective animal care practices. The camp was chaired by Kangra unit in-charge Akhilesh Prashar, who said such initiatives aim to enhance milk production and improve farmers’ income through awareness and scientific training.
